Blues Pioneers Poster Exhibition

Twentieth century Blues musicians made major contributions to the country’s muscial landscape with this Southern musical style that included work songs, spirituals, shouts and chants in simple rhymed narrative ballads.  This collection of recognizable blues artists includes BB King, Muddy Waters, Billie Holliday and many others are depicted in the collection of colorful illustrations in unique folk art posters.

The exhibit is located at the Thomas Center Mezzainine Gallery and runs through September 7, 2013. Hours 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.  Phone 352-334-5067.  Admission is FREE of charge.
