Development in University Corners

University Corners, a development  of 500 new apartments and condominiums,  a 250-room hotel and retail shops and restaurants on the first level of the project, is to be built at the intersection of West University Avenue and Northwest 13th Street, just across the street from the University of Florida.  The development has taken on new management, as plans for the development have not progressed much since 2006.  Swerdlow Group, a Miami-Dade based group has transferred over the development to Landmark Properties, a student housing developer based in Athens, GA.  Ideas for building University Corners were first proposed about a decade ago, but with the lack of progress taking place, the city commission is eager to see development. Check out the link below for the full story about the future of the development.
