This is berry season time of the year and if you have been to the Gainesville Farmers Markets or U-Pick farms for produce and berries, you may enjoy new recipes to serve your berries. Even if you can’t get to the farms to get the berries, there are good fresh berries at the supermarkets that you can use in the recipes. Two of the recipes you can use both blueberries and strawberries and one is a great favorite of many who like strawberries, Strawberry Pie.

If you’ve ever been to an Italian restaurant and ordered a Calzone, you would have probably soon been filled with regret (as well as cheesy deliciousness) from over-eating, or maybe feeling as if it was too greasy, or maybe it was overpriced. Now, you can make your very own Calzone, right from your apartment/home at a fraction of the price. For the basic ingredients, you will need:
Pillsbury refrigerated classic crust
1 jar of pizza sauce (any brand you prefer)
1 bag of mozzarella cheese
What’s great about making your Calzone at your apartment/ home is that after making sure you have your basic ingredients, you can add any other cheese, spices, meats, and veggies to really make it exactly what you want. Just lay out and flatten the crust, add your layer of pizza sauce, as much or as little as you want, add your cheese and go crazy with any other toppings, fold and tuck the crust and bake it in the oven at 375 degrees until the crust is golden brown. Last but not least, ENJOY!
